Mary Lorscheider
Mary Lorscheider received her B.S. degree in Horticultural Science from North Carolina State University in May 1981. Before graduation she held positions at a wholesale nursery, a golf course, and an interior plant maintenance firm.
Mary was a Landscape Supervisor at the N.C.S.U. School of Veterinary medicine from 1981-1982, she was a Greenhouse Manager for the N.C.S.U. Department of Plant Pathology from 1982-1983, she then worked for twenty two years with Ted Bilderback as an Agricultural Research Technician in the Horticultural Science Department at NCSU. Mary performed analytical tasks in the wet lab, the nursery field lab, and the horticultural substrates lab.
In 2002 and 2004, Mary asisted Ted with the web development of his graduate level distance class, "Environmental Nursery Production Practices". In early 2006, Mary stepped down from her position of Agricultural Research Technician to assist Ted with his distance education courses and The NCSU Nursery Crop Science web page.
